When you need to change from horizontal to vertical orientation on a tripod, the BVL-01 lets you do it on a single plate. Fold it over and your equipment turns to vertical while staying on the same Arca Swiss compatible mount, so you are not swapping plates mid-session.

Tilt the plate to vertical and a spring-loaded lock engages automatically, holding it firmly in position without a separate step. A second safety mechanism guards against heavier equipment pulling the plate folded unintentionally, so your setup stays where you put it.

Underneath, 3/8″ and 1/4″ threaded holes give you options for attaching the plate, and a 1/4″ fixing screw on top secures your equipment to it. Leofoto rates it to carry up to 5 kg. The plate measures 70 x 70 x 25 mm and weighs 215 g. That is compact enough to leave fitted between outings, but it is added mass and height you will carry every time, so weigh that against how often you actually switch orientation.
