The Hornady Universal Decapping Die is built for Aussie reloaders who want to smash through dirty, crimped military brass without risking their good sizing dies. Threaded for standard 7/8"-14 presses, it strips spent primers from .223 Rem and larger Boxer-primed cases in one clean hit, letting you separate decapping from sizing so you can tumble, clean and inspect your brass properly before the next step.

A heavy-duty decap rod and headed pin are designed to cope with swaged and crimped primer pockets that quickly bend or snap conventional pins. The floating pin self-centres in the flash hole to reduce breakages, while the Sure-Loc lock ring and Zip Spindle-style adjustment make setup quick and repeatable on any single-stage or progressive press. Not for Berdan-primed cases, but if you’re processing big batches of mixed rifle and pistol brass, this die is a tough, no-nonsense way to keep your workflow fast and your precision sizing dies out of harm’s way.
